It is the first month of winter and the last month of the year. The month of December is filled with chill with rainy. The winters realize the environment of India with unique enthusiasm. The whole nation gets refreshed with modern fairs and festivals. The fairs that are organized in this month highlight the Indian culture with the performance of dance, music, etc.

The birth of Jesus Christ is also celebrated in this great month. December is the month in which the celebration mood is on its peak, as this month farewells the year as well.

December is the month when major Indian festivals take place across the different parts of the country such as Karthikai, Christmas, Ice Skating Festival, Muharram Eid, Sikh festival of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Balloon festival, Year ending celebration, etc.

Karthikai Deepam, Tamilnadu:

Tamil Nadu celebrates Karthikai Deepam as the traditional festival. Its a very old festival, mostly it's celebrated in Thiruvanamalai then its also celebrated in the neighboring states like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. This festival is very important among the Tamilnadu and every Tamil people want to celebrate it wherever they are in this huge world.

This festival of lights involves lighting lights almost anywhere to put an end to darkness. They want to show lights to the Gods who will be impressed with their worship and continue to look after the followers or ages to come.

Chennai Dance & Music Festivals:

This is a cultural festival in Southern India. This festival is all about music and dance performances. You can find performances by renowned artists and by budding talents.
